Happy New Year from IHI UBC Thanks to all the students, staff, faculty and healthcare professionals that participated in IHI events over the past semester! We've seen significant growth over the past year, and look forward to bringing you new and thought provoking ways to challenge the status quo in the months to come.
Collaborate with Providence Health: PRACTICUM HIRING
We have an upcoming opportunity for 4 students to participate in a short-term feasibility study with Dr. Carson-Stevens, a visiting chair in the Department of Family Practice at UBC. This project would require 2 meetings/week for the first three weeks of March with extra time committed outside of these meetings (totalling 16-20 hours). Students will have the opportunity to carry on with this project over summer if interested. Given the short deadline, we're looking for students with previous research experience BUT this project is not limited to medical students. Please e-mail [email protected] if you are interested in participating!
Think like a Medical Student: BECOME IHI CERTIFIED
Are you interested in completing your IHI Basic Certificate? Join IHI UBC as we host weekly discussion groups to reflect on the material covered in the online modules and how this is relevant to YOUR education/career. These sessions will be held on Monday afternoons (Feb 29, Mar 14, 28) and are interprofessional; all educational backgrounds welcome! Follow our website for a schedule of courses to be discussed each week. We value all of your input and participation in this interdisciplinary approach to healthcare improvement!
