BCpsqc & IHI Open Schools 2022-2023 Healthcare Improvement Scholarship Program
We offer scholarships to support students in pursuing educational opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in healthcare quality improvement.
APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN UNTIL OCTOBER 14, 2022 Scholarship Program: The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council (BCPSQC) and the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School chapters of BC are pleased to offer Healthcare Improvement Scholarships to support students pursuing educational opportunities to develop and advance knowledge and skills in improving healthcare quality, including accessibility, effectiveness, safety, and equity (as detailed in the BCPSQC Quality Matrix).
Eligibility:
Full-time or part-time students currently enrolled in any discipline at a post-secondary institution in BC with an interest in healthcare quality are welcome to apply.
The proposed educational opportunity/ies must (1) relate to healthcare quality, and (2) be implemented within the 2022-2023 academic year.
Application (2022-2023 INFORMATION): Fill out the online application form by Sept 30, 2022 at 11:59pm. Applicants are encouraged to propose up to 3 different educational opportunities, in order of preference. The application consists of 4 questions that directly reflect the scholarship selection criteria; a resume/CV will be used as supplemental information to the application. Applications will be adjudicated based on the scoring scheme provided in the application form.
Applications will be evaluated by a joint panel of IHI UBC, IHI UBCO, IHI UNBC, and BCPSQC members and alumni. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]. Successful applicants will be notified TBD. Examples of Conferences & Training Opportunities: These are examples only and do not represent a comprehensive list. Applicants are encouraged to research opportunities that cater to their own interests and goals in quality improvement. Some opportunities listed may not be suitable for all applicants and/or may require prerequisite professional status or knowledge. Some of these opportunities may be free of charge, and students are at liberty to engage in them outside the context of the Quality Improvement Scholarship.
