Join us for our Naloxone Workshop, a workshop tailored toward training, awareness and a presentation on how to safely use naloxone and its relevance for improving the overall public health and clinical status of substance-use disorder. Come learn the skills required to administer naloxone while learning about IHI qualities of patient safety and quality improvement. In conjunction with our Recover Hope Campaign, IHI Open School UBC hopes to bring awareness to substance-use by reducing the stigmatization surrounding it and providing necessary steps and information on how to treat it as a healthcare concern in our community.
Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Workshop
On January 11th, from 9:30 AM - 5 PM, we hosted a workshop based around the IHI Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety! Participants worked through all 13 Open School courses (QI 101–Q105, PS 101–105, TA 101, PFC 101, and L 101) to earn their Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety - proving to employers they were serious about changing health care for the better.
