Are you interested in becoming a leader in health care? Is improving patient safety a topic you are passionate about? Do you want to learn how you can help improve quality of care?
Come to participate in this exciting seminar as we invite experts in the field to discuss several topics on focusing on improving patient safety and quality of care. The seminar will focus on the following topics:
- Fundamentals of Patient Safety and its Importance
- Human Factors and Patient Safety
- How to Communicate with Patients after Adverse Events
- Utilizing eHealth and Health App Technology to Mitigate Risk
You will participate in interactive workshops through discussion, mini projects, and networking. Participation in this seminar will also earn you a certificate of completion.

2015 Pledge-A-Thon Challenge
Our chapter is taking part in the IHI Open School Pledge-A-Thon! From October 15- November 14, IHI Open School Chapters around the world are competing to get the most pledges from students, faculty, and community members to improve population health. iHI UBC is pledging to get 500 signatures on campus to cast their vote in the upcoming federal election to make an impact on national health care policy. Kick start our Pledge-A-Thon with us on October 15!
Information on the Pledge-A-Thon and put in a request to our membership for volunteers to help collect pledges on October 15.
We should include a sign up sheet if possible, just to get an idea of who is interested.
